There is something about the first cool morning in September that makes everyone in the Treasure Valley ready to go find a pumpkin. The air shifts, the light changes, and suddenly the whole family is in the mood for hayrides, hot apple cider, and getting completely lost in a corn maze for an hour longer than anyone planned. If you are looking for the best fall fun near Boise this season, you are in the right place.

In today's blog, we're going to cover a few of our favorite fall destinations in the Treasure Valley, from Idaho's original corn maze to a brand new pumpkin patch experience that is quickly becoming a local staple.

Lowe Family Farmstead: Idaho's Original Corn Maze

If you have lived in the Treasure Valley for any length of time, Lowe Family Farmstead is probably already on your fall bucket list. Located at 2500 South Eagle Road in Kuna, it is the destination that started it all. Jim and Hillary Lowe began Idaho's original corn maze back in 1997, and what started as a grassroots idea on a working farm has grown over three decades into a sprawling fall operation that includes a pumpkin patch, tractor-drawn hayrides, farm animals, flower fields, signature food, and dozens of attractions.

This fall, Lowe Family Farmstead is marking a pair of milestones, celebrating both the 250th anniversary of America and 30 years of the farmstead itself, with a theme designed to reflect a great American tradition and the Idaho way of life. New for 2026 is the Barnstormer, a 150-foot slide themed around the flight of a cropduster airplane, as well as a newly expanded Stockyard livestock area and gift shop.

The corn maze itself covers 13 acres and is the largest in Idaho, designed by MAiZE, an agritourism consulting company that has crafted more than 4,000 mazes across the globe since 1996. Other fan favorites on the property include a candy cannon, bee line zip lines, a cow train ride, corn poppers, and farm animal interactions throughout the season.

The 2026 fall season runs September 12 through October 31. Hours are 4 to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The farm is closed on Sundays. Tuesdays are a great budget-friendly option with discounted admission, and the farmstead is worth every visit. Visit LoweFamilyFarmstead.com for tickets and current pricing.

Ten Mile Farms: Meridian's Newest Fall Tradition

If Lowe's is the veteran of Treasure Valley fall fun, Ten Mile Farms in Meridian is the exciting newcomer that families are falling in love with fast. Located at 3101 W. Amity Road in Meridian, Ten Mile Farms has become a fall destination where families, friends, and neighbors gather to celebrate the season. More than just a farm, it feels like a community hub where autumn traditions come to life and visitors can slow down to enjoy simple moments together.

Your admission gives you access to a full day of farm fun for the whole family, including a corn maze, hay wagon rides, barrel train rides, a straw bale slide, a corn pit, and Critter Corner for farm animal interactions and pumpkin patch access. The corn maze experience at Ten Mile Farms has its own personality too. Three separate mazes are available, and one includes a special mission: finding the missing Farmer Joe. Visitors can solve the mystery by navigating checkpoints throughout the maze. They also host food trucks on site, which means dinner is covered after a full afternoon on the farm.

The 2026 fall season runs September 11 through October 31. Season passes are available for families who want to come back more than once, which honestly, you will. Check ticketsignup.io for current pricing and to purchase tickets in advance.

Pumpkin Palooza Treasure Valley: Big Fun at a Low Price

Not every fall outing needs to break the bank, and Pumpkin Palooza Treasure Valley proves that in the best way possible. Located near Chinden Road in Meridian, this is one of the most accessible and family-packed fall events in the valley.

Admission is $3 per person, with children three and under entering free, and attractions include axe throwing, a petting zoo, carnival games, a kiddie corner, inflatables, a train ride, an inflatable maze, a hay tower, a mechanical bull, and a pumpkin pillow.

The Boise State hay maze has become a crowd favorite, and the 50-foot slide draws kids back again and again throughout the afternoon. For the price point and the variety of activities, Pumpkin Palooza Treasure Valley is one of the best fall deals in the Treasure Valley. Check their social media pages and call ahead at 208-941-7886 for current hours and location details since they occasionally update their setup from season to season.

A Few Other Spots Worth Mentioning

The Treasure Valley has no shortage of pumpkin patches and fall fun, and these three are just a starting point. Shindig Farms in Nampa features a straw maze, haunted maze on Saturday evenings in October, a zip line, and giant slide alongside their pumpkin patch and wagon rides. Jordan's Pumpkin Patch has locations in both Meridian and Boise with free admission and pumpkins sold by weight, making it a great low-key option for families who just want a relaxed afternoon picking out their perfect pumpkins without a full day commitment.

Whatever your style of fall fun, the Treasure Valley delivers it well every single year.
